Lander, WY | Colorado has a "right to farm" law. Anything considered normal agricultural practice takes precedent over any law or regulation. People can complain about tractors on the road, spray planes, moving cattle down the road by driving them, harvesting whatever hours of the day or night, but the agricultural practices are protected and all the people can do is complain.
My favorite is the people who move out to the country with an irrigation ditch running along their land. They buy a pump, drop the hose in the water and start pumping...local ditch company has a cure for it, they mow or disc their right of ways when they hear of an illegal pump...yeah, it creates complaints, but it also drives the point home about who owns the water... | |
