| Boards can be like a trip with the guys or a volunteer FF in a rural area. Something to do that breaks up the monotony. Those are the majority of the worthless ones.
Ayn Rand said 75 years ago "All I mean is that a board of directors is one or two ambitious men--and a lot of ballast. I mean that groups of men are vacuums. Great big empty nothings. "
Most good guys are too busy to be on a board yet the "good" board members are on ten different ones like they are building up a resume for their obituary. | |
