Always good commentary. The amount of participation has bottomed out, the bitching has ruined many a holiday meal. Lots of positions are hard to fill. People say it doesn’t make a difference to run or sit on boards, that is incorrect. The problem is, capable people not running, and incapable ding dongs filling the void.
These boards are begging for people to get involved. Full disclosure my wife works for one. Younger generations that want to get involved are few and far between, and to a point I fall into that category. It’s a time commitment and with kids going 3 different directions during the week it is hard to add more to your plate. |
