Amherst WI | I recently made some public comments about the WI beef council and the director reached out to me to address my concerns, I will give her credit for that.
That said the board has 23 members on it (IIRC and if I don’t I’m not far off). That’s way too big to get much accomplished.
Second to get on the board you need to be nominated by some other ag group but the majority of the positions on the board by folks from sale barns and buyers like JBS.
So the people who are paying for the promotion actually have the least say in how it’s done. | |
