So are you going to go on internet forever land and say that the covid vaccine will NOT be an every year type of shot like the flu shot?
My bet is it will be a yearly shot, and that IS NOT a vaccine.
Now hang on. Up above you said twice year boosters. Now you say once a year.
No, I don't know what the future holds.
But you were complaining that no vaccine before has needed multiple shots. I pointed out that most childhood vaccines, at least for the last ten years, have needed multiple shots in a year or two to get to initial immunity. And then they need boosters once every 10-20 years.
So exactly what has changed since COVID. You keep saying the definitions were changed for COVID. What, exactly, was changed for COVID?
If you want my best guess for the future recommendations on the COVID vaccine, my guess is that it will be like the DTaP vaccine. A three-dose initial protocol, spread over 12-24 months, followed by decade booster shots. And more boosters for immunocompromised individuals. But that's just a guess.
Again, what exactly was changed in the vaccine definitions for COVID?
