The lower row unit is basically the same on a Cyclo compared to the 1200 and up series until they got the 2000 numbers.   The only I can see why you were having trouble is you cranked the air pressure up sky high.   I run 5 ounces or less and this year I had a very light variety of seed corn so I cut it down to 3.5.   No way can seed depth be a problem if the planter is set correctly.   My corn always has a uniform stand, just spaced down the exact fraction of an inch like the non-Cyclo's.
