Nevada, Iowa | I got rid of my cyclo 20 years ago and I still miss it sometimes. I always really felt that a 50# medium round at 10-11 oz of air would plant pretty darn consistently. Getting graded seed may have been one of the reasons I traded away from it. Finding graded seed seed got more challenging and expensive but finding rounds became very difficult for me. I traded for an early 1760 Deere and I don't think it spaced much better than the Cyclo. I do think depth control was better with the Deere due to less seed bounce but that may have been rectified with a keeton or others. The 800 row unit and seed modules were about as simple as they came. I often think about one still for a bean planter. | |
