Just another thought on the debt to asset ratio. I wonder what I would have accomplished the last 20 years if I would have tried to maintain a 10 percent ratio? The older I get the more that seems reasonable but when I was younger I went for the moon because I didn’t have much to lose! Sometimes being over cautious costs far more than a little gamble.
Sometimes, sometimes not. When you gamble, you’d damn sure better have ol’ Lady Luck on your side, or after a couple bad hands, you’re no longer in the game. Leverage is great when the timing is right.
