Looking at a million dollar expansion in the midst of this turmoil. Guess I was looking for someone to help push me over the edge. I know a lot of variables and this with a caveat of 1 1/2 year away from semi retirement. What am getting into?
The way I view those kind of deals is I need to first look at the time value of money, otherwise known as opportunity cost. That cash is worth a minimum of $40,000 year without having to apply your labor on top of it besides. Another way I’d look at it too is I’d want to at a bare minimum get at least 1 1/2 times my money (prolly even more like two times) back over my life expectancy if i we’re your age. When I get a chance I’ll look at my life expectancy tables for you. Iirc you’re 63?
