southern MN | Back when corn was close to $8 some relatives of mine were talking, one said if anyone offers $400 an acre we’ll retire, I’ll rent it out. As a joke.
The other one said you better be careful, I’ve heard of $350 rent around here if corn goes up another quarter someone might take you up on that!
My calculator doesn’t go up to enough digits to figure out how the $370 rent with 3.50 corn works, and it doesn’t have enough decimal places after the cents to figure out the megar profits I’ve made the last 3 years, so I really don’t have much to add to either end of the conversation of the day.
