Honestly coup, I've had the same thought. And if we're being honest, that thought scares me a bit. However I'm making every decision with that thought in the back of my mind. The days of being a tenant farmer are numbered imo.
Am not trying to scare anybody, just laying out what the future may hold. If I was 20 years younger and had the ambition to be a BTO what I posted about would be my game plan. There are Ag businesses that are already structured to do what I laid out. As their market share continues to decrease, they will more than likely do what it takes @ some point to try and maintain volume. Control the acres control the volume. |
