North of London | Yes that is what I think is creating an image.
I for sure always cleaned up before going to town too but I know some who do not.
A lot of replies about what people wear but not many touching on what the general public think of as an image of a farmer.
If anyone follows or comes into contact with many of the foodies who think they should control how all the food is produced then you soon realize that they think a 'good' farmer should be like the image that is put out so often of the hick farmer wearing bib overalls, slightly worn, a straw hat and a timothy head in his mouth. Rubber boots are probably the preference for foot wear not quite clean.
These foodies do not want to accept that farming is a business and needs modern technology to produce a good supply of healthy safe food.
So is the old image good for farmers and farming or is holding us back? | |
