SE Nebraska

JDB1980 - 7/23/2017 06:01 changing rim on 886. not alot of tire changing experience but seen it done enough to get it done myself.... i think. got old tire and tube out and off, rim swapped and new tire and tube in. having a hard time getting the outside bead to seat. inside seated and outside about 75% there. took tire up to about 60 lbs and tried driving around yard to see if a little bounce would do it, but hasn't happened yet. Will bleed tire back down to proper pressure when get it seated, but anyone have any advice to get it seated? Tire does have tube, and i dont think the tube is pinched. i put a little air in tube when got it tucked into tire (fyi - we squirted an abundant amount of dish soap and water combination on rim and tire as we were inflating)

Never fill to over 30 psi to seat beads!!!!!! You are lucky it did not pop out at 60 psi. It may have killed you.

Break the bead and lube up again with rubber lube and try again
