Int would have to get up in the 6-10% area to to be like the 80s. So would be more of a % increase now vs what things were like in the 80s.

Had a variable rate loan with Federal Land Bank in 1976 @ 8.5%, if memory is correct got to around 13.5% @ the peak.


Same % increase today on a 2.75% variable = 4.4 %. Which is about 60% increase. To equal the 80s around 200- 300% increase in int rates.
