Farmland is currently trading around 40 times earnings, this is a record, stocks were trading around this same level in 2007(40x earnings) today around 16x. No one knows what the future brings, but caution is warranted when buying large chunks of anything at record prices(houses, dot.com stocks, gold,silver, tulip bulbs etc) Make sure you can stand year or two of low yields and prices.


I read where I'm assuming you had posted that last week i believe. That was one of my big bearish weights on my mind....
