s nd | Yea, just last night. Hit a rock with the rotary mower and started my 125 acre wheat stubble field on fire. 90 degrees with 40 mile and hour winds. No harm other than my pride and 90 acres of cover. Owe 3 fire departments thanks. I didn't have a heart attack beating the back flames back with a tree branch, so maybe my plugged arteries are good for another week or so. Then the wind switches last night and blows hard enough had to go down at midnite and try to blow out the embers in the ditch across from the field so didn't cause any surprises. | |
