On the family farm back in Idaho, we let the beekeeper put the hives in a place that is out of the way and does not bother us, and grandma gets a couple gallons of honey each year. Thats it. IMO we are doing our part keeping bees alive, and the last time I checked a beekeeper making extra $ stands a good chance of re-investing in the business, and buying more hives, so more bees for the world! :)
