Ea. Washington | Older friend of mine farmed in a mountain pasture hay area and going by one day he was busy building a loading dock with his backhoe so they could unload a forklift. They had a semi load of bee hives. When he got done he came over to visit. I asked him how much he got out of having the bees around. Smiling he said, "I get a whole gallon of honey" . I made some remark about that didn't seem like much for all the trouble. He looked at me like I didn't know much and said " Well, what's it cost to pasture a Bee".
