sw ontario | Thanks guys for all your thoughts , since our falling CAD has given us a free pass this year our hurt will come in 2017 when inputs go up drastically and/if our CAD strengthens against USD . like it did around 2010 when we went to CAD worth $1.10 USD , makes you think when you are losing a $1,000 cash a day feeding livestock and cash grain farmers were buying Cadillacs. IF this cycle is like others we may see 30 yrs. of no land appreciation and minimal profits . I hope for all we don't have a repeat of the 1980's as it was hard on everybody ,there was some opportunities but many lost a lifetime of work and investment and it permanently scarred many of us that survived that we missed out on later opportunities as didn't wany too much risk again...hope things work out for everybody | |
