Your attitude is your problem. I would not rent to you either based on your comments posted on here.
You sound like a poor ole me to your prospective landowners.

We are always looking to expand, but we do it based on our reputation and respect of fellow farmers livelyhoods. As stated earlier if the ground is not been farmed in the last few years there is a reason for that. Your agronomy degee should also tell you that if the ground had Christmas trees on it in the past the ground is pretty run down on nutrients. I would bet that ground needs alot of lime to get it back to row crop production. If it was that good of ground someone would have bid a high price before now to rent that ground based on the past grain prices. Maybe raise your bid... money talks and we know what walks.
