Plus your bagging and chopping makes that bag of silage worth $4000. $4000 would have bought you a lot more then 5-7 round bales. Based on the pictures of the hay I've seen you bale I don't think your cows would lose condition if they didn't have the silage.

I don't own a combine. I have had corn custom combined, hauled and dried a few years ago. 4 acres of that would be nowhere near $3150 after everyone was paid!  In total that was about a wash if you figured my total costs and net on that corn a few years ago.  That was when I started looking into grazing it.
