Southern IA | If it is long term, I'd seed it down. It all works great and looks great on paper until you get a wet year and a high stocking density churns your pasture into a mud pit. Or you get a dry year and you are getting 1/2 normal grazing and your neighbors are hanging out in their half million dollar air conditioned shop collecting $1,000/acre crop insurance while you are trying to find shade for your cows and haul water and buy in feed to keep those cows alive. | |
