This is just MY OPINION. Alot of people seem to be reaching for the brass ring.
When Corn was high, they ripped up every corner of grass to grow a crop.
It took a couple years to get the ground into decent production. Then BOOM,
prices fell out of bed. Now the cattle seem to be the shining star. Here they come back with a
great plan to convert back to grass, raise cattle, and make big bucks. It will take a couple
years to get this ground into a good grass production.

Hmmm- In two years, where will that cattle market be?  If you KNOW that answer.
Get into the trader game and make the really BIG money.

It is my opinion, we as beef and pork producers are IN our $7 corn mode.
And this too shall pass. And I feel, when it ends, and it will end ,It will end with a BANG!

So to the OP, do what you feel is right for your operation. I would think long and hard
about what kind of capital I would be willing to invest into a record high market product.

I think of the people that post here who pay big rents, have nice sleek new paint
in their fancy heated shop. All on the assumption, this $7 corn is the new normal.
Now where is that grain price.  And the bills still show up in the mailbox.

So proceed with caution.

This is just MY opinion, and I happen to be an EXPERT on MY opinion.
