Useful gauges. A temperature gauge that goes from 100 to 260, not C to H or blue to red. I don't want to look at my damned temperature gauge and see three bars into the green. I want to see a needle on 180 or 190. Same goes for the volt meter and oil pressure.

It is never, ever acceptable to make a digital gauge, and not include a numerical readout. If you're going to make it out of LCD, why not make it numerical?

Build a diagnostic interface into the machine. It doesn't require additional hardware, it can use the display that is already there.
