In Europe the tractors have to have dim/dip healights just like everyone else, you probably know this. But they all all poor. They all have the same IIRC 55w light bulbs like everyone else. It is the spread of light and the alinment that is the problem. Even on their lowest setting with nothing on the back they are too high. It just dazzles on coming traffic.

It will be interesting to see what the 7618 is like when it comes. I think most replacement car keys are £600, so a $400 key for a Fendt is a bargain! Total rip off for a key and a micro chip that probably costs pennies.

The too many hydraulic lines thing above will need some work between machine and tractor manufacturers to solve, it is a chicken and egg situation. Deere did have electric drive as an option a few years ago on the Mannhiem tractors but there wasn't any machines to go on the back of it. That is a shame. I'll stand corrected, but I think that for providing the drive, gears are still more effecient untill quite a lot of power is required, which is why electric drive is only really seen on very large machines.

On JCB loaders they have flat faced hydraulic couplers. these are easy to keep clean. Tractor couplers are always dusty, is developing a away of keeping them clean or making them easier to clean beyond the wit of man?

The Agco/Fendt/Massey products all have road lights standard now.  They are much better for roading than others. JCB also has their roading lights mounted low in the bumper.

I really think more of the Euro ideas and standards need to make their way to the USA. They may do things differently over there but they sure are further along in technology that we are here. It is very evident why when reading through this thread. American farmers are resistant to change and want cheap and simple. Move to china if that is what you want, or Russia. They have cheap and simple. I think if people didn't hate the progress so much maybe more time and money would be spent refining these. Could be the lack of competition in the US as well. In Europe competition is very high and thus technology and reliability progress much faster.

I do not know if Electric Drive is more efficient or feasible on smaller machines but it has proven itself in mining and locomotives.

I will agree with you that it is time for the Pioneer tips to go. I hate those couplers. Anything open like that just collects dirt. It seems we are always battling trying to keep our Agco ones working. We have replaced numerous valve blocks due to issues.  They all had to add collection for the dripping fluid that this style of coupler produces and that has also caused a lot of issues.. The flat face couplers do not leak constantly like the pioneer ones. They are much more expensive though.
