EC MN - Hour North of 'The Cities'
How do you know the 'full rate' is accurate?

Do you assume your soil is sterile and that you have too feed the crop off commercial fertilizers?

How much of the fertilizer that is broadcast spread is actually intercepted by the roots once in its final resting place?

What if you broadcast fertilizer and it gets tied up in the soil for an unknown amount of time?

Placement is the key...we've witnessed it on our soils, but maybe you don't see the same thing in Ohio.

Diffusion might be another term you should look into if you're willing to learn things about fertility and placement.

You do your thing and I'll do mine.

I was trying to give some 'Northern' insight in terms of producing a good crop on the least amount of dollars with good agronomic sense.
