We usually recommend Midwest Labs out of Omaha, NE.

If dealers can lie to you when they do your soil testing and run it through their lab, why can't a soil testing lab pay a fertilizer manufacturer under the table to push business their way?

Hey BS,
You're absolutely right, that can most definitely happen. However, I don't think I did a very good job of conveying my point. I did state that any independent lab was better than none:

We usually recommend Midwest Labs out of Omaha, NE. They're an independent lab and they do great work, but there are other independent labs out there, too. We encourage our growers to test with an independent lab, because we don't know what you need otherwise.

Point being that it doesn't matter so much which one you're using as long as you're using one. Sounds like that's what weedman and some others are doing, too, nowadays. I'm glad to see that that has changed because in my experience that wasn't a super common not all that long ago.
