NW Iowa | Agree with all the times mentioned that it should have been discussed.
Regardless, there are differing expectations with both parties so the right thing is to have a good solid conversation and explain the logic and see where that takes you. If that doesn't land where you are comfortable, THEN you gotta decide what your future needs are for that dealership and act accordingly.
I don't know what kind of dollars we are talking here but I would hate for it to be a career ender for someone making an honest mistake.
