Tuscola, IL | Whether it came from the factory or not has absolutely zero to do with a trade in deal a day or a decade later. Especially when switching brands of equipment.
By that logic, a person would be entitled to remove the reman engine they had installed the year before and throw in the one with the hole in the block after getting a quote to trade.
Obviously, no salesman is going to assume a set of wrenches is included with the trade in. On the other hand, plenty of customers I know of have included extra parts they had on hand with the trade in. Especially if switching from a green piece to a red one. That’s quite common. Some of you act as though the salesman arrives with a firearm and forces you to trade and keeps the paperwork a secret until your check clears. This can all be settled up front but, too many assumptions often lead to hurt feelings. | |
