Subject: RE: Hip replacement recovery?

north-central Indiana west of Fulton
I have had both done ...at 57 in 2014 , then the second in 2016. Both the incisions were on the side, but one they cut the muscles and the other , the muscles were pulled away enough and not cut. Easier to move the first few days when muscle weren’t cut , but overall recovery not much different. Was doing light work in shop in 3-4 weeks and back to mostly normal work on a dairy farm in 6-7 weeks.
I did it in January because I simply am too busy in the summer , and it is easier for the rest of the family to cover.
Need to be careful for a year....even though you can do normal things. You will always have a few limits , but not a huge deal once you are in you 50s or beyond anyway!
