West Central Wisconsin | Saw an orthopedic surgeon recently about my ongoing hip pain. At 59 he says I am a candidate for replacement. Recovery I was told would be 6 weeks of limited mobility and back to "normal" in 3 months. I'm debating having it this summer before harvest or next winter after harvest. I leaning towards this summer when I'd be able to walk for rehab versus next winter. Concerns in the summer obviously are complications and not being able to harvest. I'm kind of a 1-1/2 man show here. I do have an off farm job that I have very flexible hours. For those of you who have had replacement surgery do you have an opinion as to whether summer or fall would be better? TIA Joe | |
