My dad started buying single axle trucks years ago and I've done the same. We have everything from single axle gas powered GMC and Fords to a S2300 IH with an L10. All have their place. We recently picked up a cheap cabover Ford with a cat 3208, Allison, and 4x4 as a crane truck. It's ugly but I am impressed with where it will go and how smooth it rides. I'd buy another with a diesel and 4x4.
