just a tish NE of central ND | Waiting for the air brakes to air up would be negative part of a single axle tractor used for a pickup.
Hauling cattle with the single axle semi can be the right thing to do and does work (so does a tandem axle semi tractor)but the drive through unloading docks are tight and short and made for pickups and the semi mirrors stick out long enough to prohibit you from driving through and you have to go around the other direction and back into the drive through chutes.Semis also don't have very good traction in snow or on ice unless loaded over the back axle.
Climbing up and into a semi is tiring if you have body aches compared to getting in and out of a pickup.
