Subject: RE: Single Axle to replace farm pickup thoughts

Saronville NE
Have a IH 1900 I bought cheap with dt466 and 5-2. I built my own flatbed for it. It hasn't been unhooked from that 30 ft dually flatbed since built it. Only use it to haul hay. Powerwise is ok. Stopping is better with air brakes. But traction sucks if like dewy hay field or slimy around a hay pile. And not near as comfortable to sit in. But works very well.
I still prefer a pickup on the 24 ft stock trailer though. But we go lots farther with that then we do hauling hay.
