Subject: They had reason to open the gates

EC Nebraska
According to this article, the lake level rose by about 25 feet in 48 hours. They opened the gates wider after that.

For comparison, when Nebraska was flooding in the spring of 2019, Gavins Point dam was releasing somewhere around 100,000 cubic feet per second. The link says that 3G releases were increased to 37,000 cubic meters per second, which is about 1.3 million CFS. 13 times more water than the Missouri at its peak last year.

Dat's a lotta water.
