They have hundreds of millions of acres of cropland. One damn break isn't going to destroy 1 percent of that. It may well kill a million people tho.


That “one damn” is holding back the largest reservoir that man has ever created.

Actually this one dam break could destroy more than 1%, and its the best ground in China. Arguably some of the most productive ground in the world. The Yangtze delta is something like 5 million tillable acres that is almost all double cropped. Home to 140 million people, nobody knows how many million pigs, and about as many laying hens as the US has in total.

So yeah, just one dam break. Probably not a big deal, right?
