where is this dam of which you speak
Lake Kariba is in Zambia and Zimbabwe and has about four times the volume that is behind the Three Gorges Dam. It's at 485 meter above sea level instead of 175, and it's only 16 degrees away from the equator instead of 40 degrees.
It would have a lot more effect on the earth's rotation because it's larger, higher, and closer to the equator.
