Subject: RE: How many miles do you go for a oil change,

Southern Nevada desert
My Avalon has 320,000 miles it has run Schaefers oil changed at 15,000 miles with tests for the last 250,000 miles.
My brothers E-250 has run Amsoil at 15,000 mile changes since new, the original engine was still fine when a head gasket let go at around 445,000
Other brothers Durango has well over 400,000 miles on Schaeffers changed at 10,000 miles. The oil tests would not allow more miles per change on the Durango, it would come up high water in the winter and high silicates in the summer.
My old Dakota has been regular oil at 5000 mile changes and nearly 300,000 miles so far.

I like my stuff to run forever but I see no value in "recreational oil changes" if 15K changes get me over 400,000 miles.
