Doors. Go wheelchair accessible.  Heating. Consider cooling needs at same time. Wish we had installed a whole house exhaust fan in ceiling. Blowing warm air out during night. Then closing up in morning and using ceiling fans. Many times mean we don't need to turn on AC. Go the extra insulation too.
