| 150 farmer - 7/12/2020 18:47 (Steel roofs were not popular then). Replaced roof 2 years ago. Went back with asphalt shingles. I know steel sounds great, but haven't been PROVEN for 40 or 50 years YET.
I realize you're probably talking about steel shingles not sheet steel but steel has been used on roofs for 50+ years. A lot of which is still in use and original.
Takes a heck of a storm to tear up a steel roof past the point of cosmetic damage.
