| I was blessed with wonderful hard working in-laws. MIL was concerned we did not have any children for 6 years, but was happy with 2 grandsons. FIL and 5 brothers all served in WWII and all lived with in 12 miles each other. We lived 150 miles away, so monthly weekend visit was norm. FIl and I both worked off farm as well ,so had a lot in common. Later years, they would spend weekend at our house. October 1986 I was working out of town and he combined milo for me. Didn't know a JD 4400 could plow so much mud. Enjoyed driving around looking a equip dealer lots and crops with him.
At his funeral several neighbors commented how he spoke highly of me. Guess I dun rite! Will be married 50 yrs in August | |
