Embarrass WI | I got along fine with my in-laws after a little bit of time when I had to lay down boundaries. My wife's Dad was a heavy smoker, he lit one up in my house and I had to tell him to leave. He got a little pissy with me, but I stood my ground and he never tried smoking in my house again. We got married in 1981, so this would have been '81 or '82-there weren't many places he couldn't smoke. After that little incident, he seemed to respect me more. We were never best buddies, but we never butted heads any more either. | |
