I have said several times in the past that research has been advancing on quite a few things that fly in the face of conventional wisdom. This presentation by Dr Ali has some new information I had not seen before. Very interesting if you are interested in such things. Has some practical information even if you are not interested in such things. One of the things it shows is just how important LDL (lipoprotein that is a carrier of not only cholesterol but also energy) is. Also talks about plant cholesterol.

I would not take what he says as settled science, but it is another piece of the puzzle in the quest for understanding how our body works, and particularly with respect to cholesterol.

If you liked Dr Ali's presentation, here is another one on cholesterol that he did last August that gives a lot of background information to help understand the above video. Explains why LDL goes up when on a low carb diet or fasting (because the body is designed to do it).
