I think you should make those 4-5 days out to the badlands into 3 at most. It shouldn't be hard. I would add those extra days in between West Yellowstone and Glacier for an unexpected day of hiking or sightseeing.
20 years ago when my parents took us to Yellowstone and Tetons, we were in Yellowstone for 4 days and then Tetons for another 3, but I wish it was 7! The Tetons and Glacier are some of the most beautiful places on earth.
