NE NEBRASKA | I agree with you. Too many jobs require a bachelor's degree to even be considered. College and real life experiences are completely different.
Example is a Nebraska dairy company once hired a 24 year old University of NE graduate to manage transportation department. He decided it'd be good idea to buy 25 International semis with Maxxforce engines to "save money". They could barely keep 8 on the road at the same time and had to keep back 20 of the "trade ins" as spares. One bad decision made a 25 untit fleet into a 45 unit fleet. All for overlooking a older less "qualified" internal candidate. | |
