Lots of variables. Depends on your age and what you want to do.
I attended 4yr college. At that time the economy wasn't good. It was either go to college or make 7 to 8 bucks an hour. Semi skilled to skilled jobs weren't hiring young guys. The economy was stale. I really didn't care to go but I knew I didn't want to make 8 bucks an hour in a factory. Overall I'm glad I did but...... this was over 20 years ago. Today. Economy is strong. Cost of education has doubled. Semi skilled and even unskilled wages have grown in my area in the last 5 or 6 years to substantially better. I don't think I can honestly say that with my mindset of 20 years ago that in today's economy I'd have gone. Lots of places are hiring people for trades positions and training and paying for their school. Couple that with 60 to 80k in debt from some universities and there are a lot of people that would have been better off to learn a trade than attend college.
