Subject: RE: Township Snow Removal

central - east central Minnesota -

Silver97 - 3/5/2019 12:14 How does everyone's township handle snow removal. It has been many years since we've had a significant snow removal need but this year has been a bit of a reality check. How to you handle smaller producers or rural wage earners without the ability to move snow to access county or state maintained roads? How does the township work out compensation to farmer completed snow removal of township roads?

Contact your state's Town's and Township Association to get some advice . . . . . SD is vastly different from other states, and even within the state of SD it is vastly different . . . . .. . .   It's hard for me to imagine a Township not plowing roads for days at a time - but, where I live, it's demanded to have roads open (traversable) all the time (our residents are willing to pay for that service also). I understand the population density of most of SD and how that can be a major consideration on road maintenance . . .. . . .  http://sdtownships.com/
