Buck S - 2/17/2019 09:01 I have no desire to ever be a large farmer or ever make my entire living from farming alone. I do have tremendous interest in raising high yield crops with limited inputs. Need good weather to do that. I fully understand that most of you rely on farming as your sole income so turning a profit is all that matters. I like to be out there doing the work myself, have the peace and quiet and relax. Its better for me to have diversified incomes sources and treat the farming like a hobby. That way in years when I make money its a major bonus to me. I get pretty bummed out and cranky when the heavy rains come and flood everything out, wash the topsoil away, and turn everything to mud. I hate mud.

Buck, is your off farm income a job or do you own a business? Only curious as to what you have found was a good way to diversify?
