Near-north Ontario, French River | So split weigh the truck and run across the scales to get two legal loads LOL. Wouldn't be hard at all to do even with road trains. On another note, that sure puts the elevator in a bind, they can't let a severely overloaded truck unload, but they can't allow him back onto the road either. I can understand an elevator being penalized for SHIPPING an overweight load, but receiving I don't see where they really have a choice unless they have some sort of internal policy about unloading overweights to prevent damaging their own scale . FWIW, most commercial scales around here go to at least 150,000lbs,,, so there's wiggle room for a legal 140k load. |
