When hauling grain
set trailer brakes load the front, then move ahead, set tractor brakes, load trailer, weight usually comes out close IF you are on solid ground, on the level on a warm day.
On my rig, load to 50#air on tractor, pull ahead load to 66-67 psi on trailer, usually pretty close.
An overloaded truck does ride different btdt once in a while.
